He finally explained that it was not the old person related saga but a battle game from Tomahawk Studios. I have resisted as I don’t care what benefits he gets from them for being above that certain age i.e. Its a hard thing trying to balance out a game like this with one mind, though with a good system that sort of represents your opponent it'd be a handy tool for working out bb stratigy and testing new boards.think I'll try this idea tonight and see how it plays out, got some levies proxied. My wargame nemesis Ian has been pestering me to give SAGA a go. Then Warlord rules are a different kettle! That play a turn as normal except then roll a die that determins which opposing unit you will head toward with your activated unit, this would work near the start of the game before units got to close.Įven you could use a die roll of 50/50 chance of that unit taking two moves/shoot/melee so it starts bringing in fatigue, which then in turn could be on another 50/50 die roll to see if a fatgiue is spent to shorten move/raise lower armour etc.Īs for shooting, once a unit is within range of a unit it has an auto firing provided it can via saga die.Īctivating units you could roll a d6 1-2 one unit, 3-4 2 units, 5-6 3 units must be activated at least that turn, so thus in the case of a 5-6 3 saga die must be used for unit activationįor loading the BB I'd go for how you would for how you would play normally but remember that you are trying to beat your mirror self!

Roll a die for the opposing unit that will be the subject for melee/shooting/move towards etc., or as that could be just far to random rolling a unit designated die for both sides, I was thinking along the lines of either designating each unit a number for a die roll, then using that chosen unit, should the saga die come up.
